High megapixel phone sales double in a year
More than a third of mobile phones sold in January had at least a 3.2-megapixel camera. This has doubled from January last year, when 16.5% of phones sold had 3.2 megapixels and there weren’t any five-megapixel handsets around. In January this year five-megapixel phones made up 16% of all mobiles sold, while 17.9% of the total had 3.2 megapixel cameras.
