Dutchman replaces Dee Dutta at Sony Ericsson

Sony Ericsson has promoted a new global head of marketing to replace Dee Dutta, Mobile can reveal.

The new man is Dutchman Lennard Hoornik, who has worked for Sony Ericsson’s Asian business.

A formal announcement is expected to be made later today.

Dutta’s departure was announced last week after he’d been with the manufacturer for six years.

Elsewhere, there is expected to be a clearer idea of new president Dick Komiyama’s strategy for the business after he completed a review of the manufacturer’s operations.

A spokesman said last week: ‘He is looking at strengthening the company’s assets, and looking at all areas to make us more efficient.’

Komiyama took over the president position from Miles Flint in November last year.
