Police 'confident' of arrests in Click Mobile case

The detective investigating Click Mobile has called for networks’ help in the on-going fraud probe into the collapsed west London cashback retailer.

Click Mobile is being investigated by the Hounslow fraud squad after it was wound up in December last year.

Detective constable Tim Evans, who is heading up the investigation, said he wanted to establish how Click’s cashback system was set up but networks had so far been slow to contact him.

Evans said: ‘I need to find out who from the networks dealt with Click and what instructions were given to them. I need to find out exactly what the networks said.’

So far, only T-Mobile has responded to DC Evans request for help, and he said that if the other networks failed to comply then a court order could be issued to force them into cooperating.

Evans added that he was confident that arrests would eventually be made in the case.

‘A lot depends on what the directors of Click did with the money,’ he said. ‘I’m confident action will be taken.’
