O2 looking for new franchises in the south

O2 bosses are calling for franchise applicants from the south of England for its latest rollout of franchise stores.

New CEO Ronan Dunne (pictured) revealed last month that O2 will open around 40 more franchise stores in 2008.

A spokeswoman for O2 said: ‘We are welcoming applications from potential new franchise holders.

‘We are particularly interested to hear from people in Kent, Essex and the south generally.’

The operator has already opened 66 franchise stores this year, but is now looking at a more aggressive period of growth, and plans to reach 100 by the end of 2008. It has no plans to open any more of its own stores.
