Andrew Coull has replaced Russell Taylor as T-Mobile’s director of retail.
Coull will now have overall responsibility for retail and customer service delivery, in charge of 275 stores and 2,000 staff, while Taylor becomes T-Mobile customer service director.
Under Coull’s leadership T-Mobile is planning to have more than 300 stores by the end of the year.
Coull joined T-Mobile in January 2007 as head of retail operations, bringing with him over 15 years of retail experience across a range of sectors.
Prior to joining T-Mobile, Coull worked in a range of retail positions at Superdrug, Sainsbury's and Marks & Spencer.
Coull said: ‘T-Mobile as a retail business has gone from strength to strength over the last few years and I am excited to be a part of such a customer-focused organisation.
‘Strengthening our front-line resources is a key priority to ensure our retail staff can deliver the best possible service.
‘Unlocking the potential of our store staff is crucial to building our retail presence on the high street and growing the business in what remains a highly competitive market.’
Gordon Ballantyne, T-Mobile UK sales and service director said: ‘Andrew brings a wealth of retail experience to the role.
‘He takes over at an exciting time. We have ambitious plans to grow retail connections with a specific focus on PAYG and mobile internet and broadband.
‘Under Andrew's leadership, the number of stores will exceed 300 stores by the end of the year. This larger footprint will bring us closer to our customers and enhance the T-Mobile brand on the high street.’
