Asda joins ultra low-end market with £5 phones
ASDA mobile has joined the ultra low-end market after launching a range of pay as you go phones for £5.
Four devices are available as part of the deal, including Nokia and Sagem handsets, and can be bought without the customer having to buy a top up.
Over 50,000 handsets, which the supermarket boasts is cheaper than a kids' toy mobile, are available in ASDA stores across the UK now.
Peter Pritchard, ASDA Trading Director, said: ‘Shoppers are increasingly turning to Pay As you Go as a way of controlling their spending on mobile phones and this offer is exactly what is needed to help them do this.’
