Orange picks up award for paperless application

Orange has been announced as the joint winner of the Best Mobility Innovation award at the Convergence World Awards 2008 for its paperless document application, Mobile Forms.

The application allows users to design electronic forms on a web interface and deploy them to the mobile workforce before the data is sent back to the office in real time. The application was developed together with one of its solutions partners Aeromark.

The other winner in the same category was Mobyko, for its application that allows mobile users to save their contact details, pictures and videos to a remote server.

Director of business products at Orange Anthony Keyworth said: ‘There is increasing pressure to work faster and smarter in our competitive world, whilst at the same time being environmentally aware. Orange Mobile Forms eliminates the need for a paper-based mobile workflow.’
