HTC today unveiled its new flagship phone, the Touch?Diamond. The emphasis of the device is on using the internet and users can zoom and pan websites with one-hand while turning the device sideways rotates the web page view from a portrait to landscape view. It also features HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA wireless connectivity.
The phone has a new HTC-developed YouTube application for watching a user generated video content, and it has a new 3D touch interface called TouchFLO 3D, which gives animated access to people, messaging, email, photos, music and weather updates.
It is also the first handset to feature Windows Mobile 6.1, and it comes with a 3.2 megapixel camera and 4 GB of internal memory.
HTC said the device would be marketed towards consumers rather than business users.
It will be available on all five networks in the UK from June. The price of the device is yet to be confirmed, but T-Mobile has said that it will be available on its network as the MDA Compact IV free on Flext 50.
