T-Mobile’s network share with 3 is going well
T-Mobile’s network share arrangement with 3 is coming along well, said Jim Hyde.
He added that the venture was making ‘good progress’, and promised it ‘will deliver the UK’s most extensive 3G network, resulting in blanket high-speed broadband coverage and significant savings to the benefit of customers’.
The operators sealed the agreement at the end of last year, and it is expected to cut £2bn from the company’s costs.
It puts both operators in a position to provide cheaper mobile broadband by passing on their savings to consumers. Orange and Vodafone have a similar arrangement in place.
