Mobile phone worker pleads not guilty to thefts

A mobile phone and computer business employee has pleaded not guilty to charges of stealing £14,000 worth of phones from his employers.

Shaun Emery, 47, who has worked in the mobile phone industry for many years, is alleged to have taken the mobile phones from Comm-Tech in Maltham, Norfolk, between 19 August and 30 November 2007.

Emery, of Waltham Abbey in Essex, also pleaded not guilty at Yarmouth Magistrates Court to creating a fraudulent customer account at Comm-Tech.

He denied offering a fake CV to secure a job at the firm and also denies stealing £8,509 of laptop computers from another Norfolk firm.

He will reappear before Yarmouth Magistrates on 1 July for his committal hearing to Norwich Crown Court where his full trial will take place.
