Vodafone’s German staff cycle 690km to HQ for charity

Scores of German Vodafone staff were due to cycle into the company’s Newbury headquarters today.

The cyclists from Vodafone’s operation in Dusseldorf, Germany took part in the Vodafone Group IT Global Biking Initiative cycling 690km to raise money for German based charity 'Off Road Kids'.

The Vodafone Group Foundation, who is the parent organisation for the 23 Vodafone Foundations across the world, lined up a champagne reception in their honour.

Meanwhile staff at Vodafone’s Stoke based operation will be taking part in a skydive next Wednesday (11 June) at Langar Airfield in Nottinghamshire.

The staff will be doing a tandem jump strapped to a Red Devil.

They hope their jump will go some way towards their £15,000 target for an incubator for the neonatal ward at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
