Hutchison Telecom’s Brit finance chief quits
Hutchison Telecom Whampoa has announced that CFO Tim Pennington has resigned.

Pennington will be replaced by Chris Foll currently COO for Hutchison’s Vietnam operations. The company said in a statement that Pennington will step down at the end of August and plans to return to the UK.

Hutchison Telecom CEO Dennis Lui said: ‘Tim has decided to return to the UK after more than four years, during which he made a major contribution to Hutchison Telecom's success.

Hutchison Telecom founded Orange in 1994 and sold its Indian business Hutchison Essar to Vodafone last year. Its remaining assets include mobile and fixed line business in Asia.

It is part of Hong Kong conglomerate Hutchison Whampoa which also owns 3 UK, and other 3-branded businesses in a number of countries including Sweden, Italy and Australia.
