O2 sacks staff after iPhone box breaking scam
O2 has sacked six members of staff and are investigating a further 20 after they used staff discounts to buy iPhones cheaply before auctioning them on eBay, according to reports.

All of the sackings are thought to have occurred in London, but it is not yet known in which area the further investigations are being carried out.

O2 confirmed that the dismissals and pledged to contimue to take action against any further abusers of the staff privilege.
Mobile reported in April that the iPhone had become a major target for box breakers after its £100 price cut. It was thought that box breakers were tempted by the £169 UK price tag, which is £75 less than the European cost.
