O2 brings in paperless bills for new customers

New postpay customers joining O2 from the beginning of this month can now access their bills online.

O2 already offers online billing to existing customers who signed up on the website.

Customers who upgrade their handset have the option to switch to online billing, and all iPhone customers have been on the service since the handset launched in November 2007.

An O2 spokeswoman said: ‘This move to paperless billing for new customers helps to reduce our impact on the environment through the production and postage of paper bills.

‘Customers who still wish to have a paper bill will get this provided free of charge on request.’
