Nokia is releasing at least seven new handsets in the space of just two months, after what has been a relatively quiet first six months of the year.
The manufacturer launched the 6220 this week, which is one of the first Nokia devices on the market to come pre-loaded with new Nokia Maps 2.0.
The device includes a GPS location finder and built-in compass, as well as multimedia city guides with information on new restaurants, hotels, tourist attractions and points of interest.
An exclusive T-Mobile handset, the 6650, with a touch-sensitive UI screen, is set to launch next week.
Ainslie said: ‘We have had a hugely successful year so far despite being relatively quiet.
‘We have a lot of products coming to market over the next couple of months with a new launch almost weekly.
‘Some of our competitors have come under pressure, which is never good to see. You have got to be on your game in this business.’
