LG has announced the launch of the KS360, a youth-targeted handset designed to provide easy access to social networking sites.
A key feature of the device is the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which is intended to help users send messages while on the move. The handset’s messaging features allow users to send SMS, IM and email as well as providing quick access to social networking sites.
To help make messaging easier, the handset's 2.4” screen automatically rotates 90 degrees once the full-length keypad has been opened.
The device, which comes out from August on O2 and Orange, comes in a range of colours, including 'black and red', and 'titanium and bright blue'. It also comes with a 2MP camera and MicroSD card slot.
Jeremy Newing, head of LG mobile marketing, LG Electronics says, ‘We recognise that manufacturers need to develop a variety of handsets that cater for different segments of the market.’
He added: ‘With the popularity of social networking sites and instant messaging amongst younger audiences, the KS360 has been designed so they can access these features when away from their computer.’
