Staff’s mixed reaction to Orange's 'I am' rebrand

Orange’s new ‘I am’ rebrand has been met with a mixed reaction by the operator’s retail staff.

The multimillion-pound rebrand, which was exclusively revealed by Mobile in June, went live last week.

One staffer told Mobile: ‘No-one knows what “I am” actually means. We need something tangible to show customers; either better deals or better exclusive products.’

Meanwhile, Orange has revealed plans to sell laptops with embedded Sim cards, as well as laptops bundled with mobile broadband dongles.

The operator will join rival network 3 in offering Hewlett Packard devices, as well as Asus computers for consumers and small to medium business customers.

The computers will be available from Orange retail stores, telesales and online in August, and consumers will be able to purchase Orange dongles with an 8.9-inch compact Asus laptop for £25 per month.
