BBC Sport on mobile phones
With the footie season fast approaching, the BBC has taken the opportunity to remind fans about their WAP service.
Sports fans can text the BBC to receive an SMS containing a link to the BBC's mobile site. Once the link has been received, users can bookmark it to allow easy and quick access in the future.
Sports fans can even specify the content they want to see by texting the name of the club. For example, send a text stating ‘my club arsenal' and you will receive a link to the Arsenal page on the BBC mobile site.
In order for the service to work, you must be in possession of an internet-enabled (WAP) phone. Text the word ‘sport' to 81010 (at a cost of between 12-15p) to receive the link to the general BBC sports page or specify which club, be it football, rugby league, rugby union or cricket, you wish to gain access to.
