Sky pursues deeper relationships with networks
Sky is understood to be keen to deepen its relationships with networks for syndication of its content, particularly football, to increase its subscribers.
The company already has revenue share deals with mobile networks and is expected to launch joint marketing initiatives later this year.
Sky has identified live events such as music and sport as the most appropriate for its mobile platforms, and its longer programmes will fit with its on-demand Sky plus service.
Sky is understood to have over 200,000 mobile TV customers and over 100,000 customers for 24-7 football.
