JCB Toughphone gets a new competitor
The JCB Toughphone has a competitor for the crown of the hardest phone on the market – the Condurro LM801.
The device’s target market appears to be slightly different to the JCB handset, as it angles more towards adventurers than builders.
The LM801 boasts a magnetic compass, barometer / altimeter, FM radio, and thermometer, and like the Toughphone, it is designed to be able to withstand a beating.
It also has a lazer pointer, presumably so users can pretend to snipe their friends as they climb mountains.
It is available for £149.99 in foreign markets, and the manufacturer is looking for UK distributors to range it over here.
