Sony Ericsson launches G705

Sony Ericsson has released its new slider phone, the G705, optimized for internet browsing. The handset comes with a 2.4 inch screen, WiFi and HTML browser. The idle screen also has one button access to Google search.

The phone is equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera and comes with 1GB memory card. It has GPS, combined with Google Maps and Wayfinder navigation.

The handset manufacturer also announced the launch of the Sony Ericsson G705u, which enables users to seamlessly roam between mobile network and local area networks due to its GSM/WiFi capabilities. Orange has the exclusive of this version of the handset.

Starting with the G705 Sony Ericsson is planning to integrate YouTube into upcoming handsets as a result of a partnership agreed today with Google. Users will be able to upload and download content directly to the YouTube site.
 The new handset will be available in selected markets from Q4.
