O2 claims to have tackled roaming problem with Apple iPhone
O2 has claimed it has tackled the problem of iPhone customers not being able to get back on the O2 UK network after taking the phone overseas.
The problem occurred after customers requested the roaming facility before taking the phone abroad, but the network failed to automatically switch back to the home network.
One source at O2 said that there had also been several incidents of the device crashing at launch, exacerbated by it being shrouded in secrecy, leading to some criticisms of inadequate training for staff in call centres.
A spokesman for O2 said that the problem was ‘small scale’ and had been addressed.
