Marketing chief Chapman leaves T-Mobile

Phil Chapman has quit his role as T-Mobile marketing chief after three years in the role.

It appears that Chapman decided to walk after a decision to remove the international dimension of his role.

Chapman, highly rated by his peers in the marketing sector, was given a broader European brief last year after clear branding of T-Mobile promotions in the UK such as Flext.

Chapman is expected to leave the company in November but has now immediate position to walk into.

Chapman has worked closely with UK MD Jim Hyde as well as group CEO Hamid Akhavan in Bonn.

Chapman to the T-Mobile role in 2005, taking over from Sandy Munro who worked at failed MVNO easyMobile after leaving T-Mobile.
