Orange retail employees attend Doyle roadshow
Orange's head of retail, Sian Doyle, has just completed store briefings to 2,300 Orange retail staff in an unprecedented wide-ranging series of roadshows across the operator’s store estate.
There were eight separate events with between 300 and 400 staff members.
Doyle outlined the strategy for Christmas as well as initiatives for 2009, and said that the company was still pressing ahead with the plans outlined by CEO Tom Alexander earlier this year when he spoke of opening around 100 further stores, that would take the total number to 400. Orange expects to open 20 stores between now and Christmas.
Doyle (pictured) said: ‘We’ve already relocated a lot of stores, and are opening stores in White City, Barnsley and opening second stores in places like Southampton and Portsmouth. We’ve opened four in Bristol, so there are opportunities to increase our presence in certain areas.’
