O2 releases another own-branded Xda handset
O2 is set to release the Xda Zest, a PDA-style handset and the latest in O2’s own-branded Xda range.

The device runs on the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, which includes Mobile Outlook, as well as Microsoft Office tools like Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The handset also has Wi-Fi, HSDPA, a three-megapixel camera, MP3 and FM radio.

The Xda Zest is the first from the range to be released on pay-as-you-go. It will be available on prepay for £250 and will be free on selected O2 contracts from 17 October 2008.

Erik Staaf, head of O2's own-branded devices said: 'Our established O2 Xda range has proven very popular with experienced PDA users but we are now pleased to also offer early entrants to the market a pay a go handset without an overcomplicated user interface.'
