Phones 4u sales decline in recent months
Phones 4u has seen a sharp decline in new connections over the last year, but the shortfall is thought to be made up by upgrades, dongles and a surge in connections from the retailer’s new direct sales and web operations.
Sources close to Mobile claimed all of the stores combined were making new handset contract sales of around 47,000 per month in October, while the direct telesales, and recently-acquired Dial-A-Phone, were hitting around 25,000 new contract handset sales per month.
Store staff at Phones 4u have reported a marked slowdown in sales in recent months. Sources also said that dongles and upgrades were now taking a much bigger share of Phones 4u’s total mix of subscription revenue.
