Will INQ 1 revolutionise mobile communication?
INQ 1’s creators claim that the device will have the biggest impact on mobile communication since the introduction of texting.
The device integrates popular internet services, such as Facebook, Skype, Windows Live Messenger and Last FM.
There will be quick and easy methods to send a Facebook or Skype message, or an email via Hotmail – all of which can be sent like a standard text message.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said the future of his business is mobile. Pictures can be taken with the handset’s 3.2-megapixel camera and instantly uploaded to Facebook. When a contact calls, rather than just a name appearing on the screen, the caller’s Facebook profile picture and status become visible.
In addition, users have full access to Facebook even in areas of no reception. Upon entering an area with reception, all actions, such as sending a message, are automatically carried out.
3 said other applications, such as Ebay and YouTube, will be added in the future.
The only concern is INQ is an unknown name in the market, and is targeting a very brand-conscious consumer.
