Nokia launches 5800 XpressMusic without Comes With Music

Nokia has announced that the 5800 XpressMusic, its first touchscreen phone, will go on sale this month, but Comes With Music will surprisingly be unavailable on the device when it launches.

Nokia billed the 5800 XpressMusic as the ‘Comes With Music phone’, and paired the launch of the service with the handset.

However Nokia said today that the 5800 XpressMusic will be released on January 23rd, but is still unsure of when the device will be sold bundled with Come With Music.

The handset will initially be available for £249 from 10am at both the Nokia Regent Street and Heathrow Terminal 5 flagship stores and also online at www.nokia.co.uk/shop.

It will then be available in all other channels from January 30th, including Vodafone, O2, Orange, T-Mobile UK, Virgin Mobile, Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U.

The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has a 3.2” touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera and 8 GB of onboard memory.
