New mid-range Cyber Shot from Sony Ericsson
Sony Ericsson have launched the C510, a new Cyber-Shot phone for the mid-range with a You-tube application.
The C510 Cyber-Shot will be launched with smile recognition software, previously unavailable on the Cyber shot range. The phone is tipped to be a more affordable addition to the Cyber-Shot range as it comes with a modest 3.2-megapixel camera.
The handset camera specs include; a 3.2-mega-pixel camera, digital zoom, face detection and smile recognition software. The handset also includes a You Tube application for video blogging and Google Maps.
The smile recognition software will also be available as an upgrade application for those who have already purchased the manufacturer’s more expensive eight mega-pixel phone, the C905.
Sven Totté, Sony Ericsson’s head of imaging said: ‘We are delighted to unveil the C510 Cyber-shot, our most accessible Cyber-shot phone to date which includes a host of new features normally found on more premium phones. Features like Smile-Shutter, YouTube integration and Snapfish by HP integration make the C510 Cyber-shot a really fun mobile phone to use. This phone will enable us to engage new markets and consumers to our Cyber-shot phone experience.’
