Carphone drops price of Nokia's first Comes With Music phone
The price of the first Nokia Comes With Music handset has dropped significantly, with Carphone Warehouse now offering the 5310 XpressMusic device bundled with the service for just £82.18.
The 5310 handset is available with Comes With Music at the lower price on Orange and Virgin Mobile tariffs. It cost £130 at launch in December, but it is thought that the service has not performed as well as hoped.
Comes With Music is also expected to be made available on Nokia’s first touch-screen phone, the 5800 XpressMusic. Nokia previously billed the device as its main Comes With Music phone, and launched both the service and the handset together.
No details have yet been confirmed as to when the bundled device will be sold, but the 5800 will be available without Comes With Music from January 23. Earlier this month, Nokia started selling the N96 with the service for £540 Sim-free.
