Motorola makes further changes to its management team
Motorola has made further changes to its top-level team as the company prepares for its period of mothballing before a return later
in the year.
Head of UK marketing Rachael Ward is leaving the company. It is not known if she has a job to go to.
Simon Collinson, who was taken on as director of marketing strategy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2008, will now take on the role of western European marketing director, in a bid to tighten up Motorola’s UK focus. Collinson was previously sales and marketing director at BT’s retail division.
Meanwhile, the company has expanded Andrew Morley’s role as vice president for marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, to cover Korea, India, Thailand and Indonesia.
Motorola said it still plans to recruit for new roles, despite its decision to delay the spin-off of its handset division, originally planned for this year.
