GfK conference attracts 200 delegates

The GfK conference took place yesterday at the British Library in London and was attended by around 200 delegates.

The keynote speaker was T-Mobile UK managing director Jim Hyde, who was followed onto the stage by GfK’s Wolfgang Wanders and Aaron Rattue, and then futurologist Ian Pearson.

Hyde gave an upbeat address about the opportunities available to the mobile industry(click here for more), while Rattue spoke about the industry’s changing landscape, and in particular the potential of mobile internet.

Rattue said: ‘There are huge opportunities presented by the mobile web. Social networking on mobiles in particular is an area of great potential, and the first person to get it right is going to make a lot of money.

The main event was followed by an after party – and further networking opportunities – at the nearby Big Chill bar.
