Phones 4u deter staff from cashback deals with new commission system
The retailer has brought in a new commission system for its staff, which penalises them for giving cashback deals.
The new system means staff will personally lose out on an amount that equates to 10% of the cashback they give away. For example, if a staff member gives away £100, they will have £10 cut from their commission.
Phones 4u had increased the number of cashback deals recently - by giving staff the power to offer varied amounts of cashback to close a deal.
The retailer has introduced a system of billed credits on certain tariffs. Like cashback, it gives money back to the customer after sale. Billed credits give money off a customers bill on a monthly basis.
Furthermore, Phones 4u has knocked £1 staff commission off all tariffs, whilst commission on insurance rose by £1. Staff can now get £5.50 for each insurance pack they sell.
