LG has launched a new multimedia device called LG Arena.

LG says Arena will be its flagship device for 2009 and claims it has a ‘groundbreaking 3D user interface which is designed to be a more fun and engaging gateway to delivering an amazing multimedia experience.’

The device boasts a 5 megapixel camera, HSDPA 7.2 networks, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. More spec info will be released when the device is unveiled for the first time at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 16th.

Arena will go head to head on the multimedia device front with the Samsung Tocco Ultra, which was also unveiled today.

Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG, said: ‘The direct and dynamic UI is unlike anything that has featured on a mobile phone before. The rich 3D graphics, touch sensitivity and dynamic multimedia capabilities, make LG ARENA a truly feature loaded multimedia phone.’
