T-Mobile marketing chief takes on new role

Former T-Mobile marketing director, Phil Chapman, has been appointed to the new role of group marketing director at Kerry Foods. He took on the role last week.

In the newly created position, Chapman will be responsible for brands such as Walls sausages, Homepride flour, Cheese Strings and Mattersons.

Chapman left T-Mobile in November last year after three years as marketing director. He was rated highly among his peers in the marketing sector, and is credited with rejuvenating T-Mobile in the UK. He was also closely associated with the operator’s successful Flext tariff, and with MyFaves and Web’n’Walk.

During his time at the operator, Chapman worked closely with UK MD Jim Hyde, as well as group CEO Hamid Akhavan. Hyde quit the MD role last month.
