INQ has hired three top level staff in a bid to build up a global team. The team will work with operators and content partners to bring social mobiles to new markets in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
The appointments come on the heels of the company’s launch of the social networking phone, the INQ1, late last year.
Former Motorola vice president and general manager Allen Burnes has been appointed as director of sales and operations and will lead global sales operations for INQ, working with operators to develop complete consumer offerings. During his time at Motorola, Burnes led the company’s global business unit to develop new markets in areas such as India, Africa and Southeast Asia
Meanwhile, Qualcomm engineer Amit Gupta will joining INQ as head of engineering. During his ten years at Qualcomm, Gupta was influential in engineering, product management and technical sales and marketing.
Leonardo Poggiali, who was previously at Sony Ericsson, will take on the role of head of operations and will be responsible for overseeing the supply chain and global operations.
