MWC: Samsung and LG reveal new handsets ahead of Mobile World Congress
Samsung and LG unveiled new handsets this week, ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which starts on Monday (16 February).

LG launched a new flagship device called the LG Arena (pictured), with a five-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and GPS.

The device is expected to follow LG’s other recent handsets, by targeting a younger market as an alternative to Nokia’s more expensive Nseries range.

Meanwhile, Samsung unveiled the Tocco Ultra Edition, which includes a keypad in addition to the touch-screen, as an alternative means to type.

The Tocco was Samsung’s most successful contract handset of 2008; the new version has an eight-megapixel camera, GPS and internet speeds of up to 7.2Mbps.

The device will be available in the standard black and red
across all networks. Other colours could be made available as
network exclusives.
