MWC: Nokia launch two new E-series email phones
Nokia will release two new E-series phones, the E75 and E55.
The E75 is one of the first devices to ship with Nokia's new email interface, which has full HTML, expandable views, and all the trappings of a desktop email experience.
The E75 is the follow-on to last year's E71, with a compact full QWERTY, Nokia Messaging, A-GPS and Nokia Maps. Additionally, it has N-Gage for gaming and remote file management software Ovi Files.
The E55, tipped as the world's most compact messaging device, also has a full QWERTY, Nokia Maps, A-GPS, N-Gage and Ovi Files. It has also got a killer battery life at 28 days on standby. Both phones have direct access to Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes.
The Nokia E75 will ship in March for around £390, and the Nokia E55 in Q2 for around £240.
Kai Oistamo, executive vice-president at Nokia, said: ‘With the Nokia E75, we took a lot of inspiration from the Nokia 9300, which was our first mini-communicator.’
