MWC: G2 exclusivity will go to Vodafone
Vodafone has snapped up exclusivity of the second Android powered phone dubbed the 'G2'.
The phone will be made by HTC and called the HTC Magic Smartphone. It will be the network's first Android powered phone.
The second generation Google phone, called the HTC Magic, reportedly boasts a 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi, and a built-in GPS receiver.
The phone will be available in the spring. Vodafone's exclusivity on the device will stretch to the UK, Spain, Germany and France.
Patrick Chomet, global director of terminals, Vodafone said: 'Delivering an unbeatable mobile internet experience for our customers is a priority for Vodafone, so we are very excited to be introducing our first Android-powered smartphone in the spring.'
The phone follows the release of the G1 exclusively to T-Mobile in October last year. The phone was also made by HTC.
