Orange customer wins compensation over coverage
An Orange customer won £500 compensation after he took the company to court for receiving poor phone service.
Tom Prescott, 32, took the operator to court after they refused to cancel his 18-month contract, despite the fact that he could not a get signal in his office or in his Richmond home.
Orange could not comment on the case but added that it provides 99% of the UK with high-quality coverage and continues to invest in its network.
The move has opened the door to other mobile customers to cancel their contracts, or claim refunds or compensation if service is not up to scratch.
