Bebo mobile page views surge by 44% in January

 

Bebo mobile page views grew by 44% and text messaging traffic by 13% in January, according to figures released by the social network.

 

Bebo Open Mobile, which is a global programme for mobile operators, handset manufacturers and mobile software developers, offers tools to deliver the Bebo social network to mobile users.

 

The social network’s global head of mobile, Sean Kane, said: ‘This growth is a positive early indicator that we’re delivering our users and Bebo Open Mobile Partners a compelling mobile experience. Mobile social networking is a fast-moving market, and empowering our partners to innovate in a flexible and mutually beneficial way helps us all win.’

 

In February, Bebo announced O2 UK as its core Bebo Open Mobile partner. It expects to make further announcements about partners and initiatives this year.
