Lebara will target West Yorkshire and Leicester after initial expansion
Lebara will look to West Yorkshire and Leicester after its first phase of expanding beyond London.
The virtual network is currently targeting Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Glasgow, with agents being supplied with Sims, and marketing deals designed for certain stores.
The next phase, according to Fawcett, will be around the West Yorkshire areas of Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield, alongside Leicester.
Fawcett added: ‘How society works in the North West, North East and Scotland can be slightly different [to London].’
Lebara has no immediate plans to bundle handsets with its Sim cards for its retailers, as it is reluctant to risk being exposed to box breaking.
Fawcett said it would only consider handset deals ‘when we are able to offer handsets with the right levels of care and protection for the business and for our customers’.
