More than 500 jobs threatened by T-Mobile move
Over 500 UK call centre jobs are under threat, after T-Mobile announced plans to move work to the Philippines.
According to reports, 300 of the 500 staff at TSC, the company that provides contact centre services and technology support to T-Mobile, in Larbert, near Falkirk, are affected. The decision will also affect all 118 staff at a call centre in Greenock and 100 jobs in Yorkshire.
TSC said it was working to save the jobs.
Meanwhile, T-Mobile said its general customer services would be provided from a contact centre in Manila by the end of August.
The more specialised areas of customer support and telesales will still be managed from the UK.
