Ian Driver takes temporary role as Shardlow exits Virgin Mobile

Virgin’s long-serving sales and distribution director, Rob Shardlow, quit the business last week, leaving his deputy, head of sales Ian Driver, in a caretaker role until a long-term appointment is made.

Last Thursday (9 April), Virgin Mobile announced Shardlow was leaving the virtual network after nine years at the helm.

A Virgin Media spokesman said the company would be recruiting a replacement for Shardlow, and that Driver (pictured) would be considered for the job if he chooses to apply.

Driver took the head of sales job at Virgin Mobile in March 2008, reuniting him with Shardlow, a former One2One colleague.
