Opal and Avenir Telecom in business broadband partnership

Opal Telecom, the business-to-business division of Carphone’s TalkTalk Group, has partnered with Avenir Telecom to offer a new fixed-line business broadband package.

Opal serves 100,000 business customers and works with around 350 wholesale partners nationwide. This the first time Opal has ever partnered with a B2B-only airtime distributor.

Avenir's dealer base will now roll out Opal's 'Premium Grade' broadband service for business. Each new installation will include a business-grade router with security license and static IP address.

The product will operate across Opal's next generation network, which has 1.4 million existing broadband connections.

Avenir MD, Andy Tow, said: ‘We're continually developing our portfolio to enable our clients to better equip themselves in today's marketplace and to benefit from increased revenue achieved outside of traditional mobile airtime offerings. This includes - but is by no means restricted to - accessories, broadband, applications and devices.’

Opal Director of Wholesale Andrew Hollingworth, said: ‘We are delighted with the contract with Avenir as their strong dealer base provides us with an excellent opportunity to increase our market share.’
