3 Business to build reputation via network share with T-Mobile
3 will focus on building credibility of 3 Business by increasing reliability and adding new devices and services.
The operator is aiming to build reliability by using its network share with T-Mobile. 3’s head of business, Renato Bottini, told Mobile: ‘One of the key things for the SME [Small Medium Enterprise] market is reliability and coverage; the T-Mobile network share addresses this and will put us in a strong market position.’
3 is hoping that last week’s addition of the BlackBerry Bold to its range, since announcing a partnership with RIM five months ago, will add credibility to the business channel.
The operator launched its business tariffs in June 2008, with a focus on the SME market.
Bottini said: ‘We’ve worked very strongly with our third-party partners and they’ve taken to the business really well - we’re building credibility in that channel.’
However, he added: ‘Distribution partners are our key strategy, but there is a lot of work to be done and a number of channels we haven’t begun to address.’
3 will widen its distribution channels with an advertising push for the add-ons available to 3 customers, such as Skype and instant messaging.
