Tanny Price leaves Vodafone after four months
Vodafone head of distribution Tanny Price has left the operator ‘to pursue other opportunities’, after just four months at the helm.
Price’s departure follows her former employer, Avenir’s, application for a court injunction in February to prevent her and former client sales chief Toby Wickenden from working in their new roles at Vodafone.
The injunction was granted by a court, resulting in Avenir successfully blocking Price and Wickenden from working while the matter was pending.
Avenir was also pursuing a large compensation claim specifically against Price, linking her move to Vodafone and the termination of its Avenir distribution account in February.
Vodafone cut off Avenir earlier this year, as it looked to move its distribution business, Yes Telecom, to the centre of its indirect operation.
Price took the helm at Vodafone’s Yes Telecom at the start of February, after quitting Vodafone in November last year. Three of Yes Telecom’s directors resigned as part of the changes.
A Vodafone spokesman said: ‘Avenir Telecom and Vodafone today confirm that they have reached an agreement regarding the termination of their distribution relationship. As a result, a related matter concerning two former employees of Avenir who recently joined Vodafone has also been satisfactorily concluded.’
The spokesman added: ‘Tanny Price has decided to leave Vodafone to spend more time with her family and to pursue other opportunities. We would like to take this opportunity to wish Tanny well in her future endeavours.’
