The phone will only be free on a £50 per month contract. The touch-screen phone will house; a five-megapixel camera, Windows 6.1 software, Sat Nav and MP3 player.

The phone comes with the capability to add widgets on the internet settings for quick access to favourite websites. The 6.1 version of the Windows operating system will be upgradable to the new 6.5 version in September. T-Mobile launched the T-Mobile MDA Compact IV last year.

T-Mobile's head of handset and device marketing, Daniel Meredith said: 'It takes the web experience of the MDA portfolio to a new level with the introduction of internet on your phone with widgets and it's also the first MDA device to boast all the benefits offered by the very latest Microsoft Windows Mobile platform.’
