Nokia 6700 details announced
Nokia has announced the 6700 will go on sale in the UK on 19 June and will be £269 Sim-free.
The handset is the successor to Nokia’s popular 6300, and will be initially available at the manufacturers flagship store on Regent Street, London, as well as Nokia branded retail stores. It will be available from other retailers and operators from 26 June.
The Nokia 6700 features a five-megapixel camera, assisted GPS navigation with Nokia Maps, and high speed data access.
The manufacturer said the phone provides an internet experience that is ‘unrivalled by other mid-range devices’, adding that its functionality will ‘show impressive advances from its predecessor’.
Nokia UK MD Mark Loughran said: ‘The Nokia 6700 is set to be one of our biggest selling devices for 2009.
‘Taking its style from our premium devices and incorporating expert functionality it will redefine what is expected from a mid-range device, making it a worthy successor to the Nokia 6300.’
