O2 adds 12 exclusive Centre of Excellence partners
O2 has announced another 12 of its UK Centre of Excellence partners have become exclusive to the network.
The move follows Barclay Communications’ decision in April to be the network’s first partner to sever ties with all other operators in Northern Ireland.
The new partners include Active Business Communications, ADSI, Aerial Telephones Group, Atlas Communications, Cellular Solutions (North East), Challenger Mobile Communications, Cygnet Holdings Limited, Direct Line Connections, T/A Dialect, Total, Uplands Mobiles, Vivio and Welcomm Communication.
The companies will now be responsible for selling O2 products and services, including the iPhone, across the UK.
The O2 Centre of Excellence programme is open to all partners but sets criteria including ‘excellent customer service’ and a ‘true focus’ on delivering mobile solutions within the business market. O2 said the model has the potential to extend into markets other than mobile in the future.
O2 UK head of SME sales David Plumb said: ‘We are delighted to welcome 12 more of the very best UK resellers as exclusive O2 partners. These partners continue to set the benchmark for excellence in the UK and have access to increased investment from O2.
‘For example, the O2 Partner Academy helps partners develop their skills in unified communications, solution selling and service excellence. Although more than 50% of O2 partners are now exclusive we will of course continue to work with quality partners who see the benefit of multiple network relationships.’
